There are new Timetables commencing 15th May, 2016 across the Arriva Trains Wales and Virgin Trains Networks for North Wales. There are no significant differences to the current pattern of service. (Still no more through trains to Manchester airport!)
On the 14th May, there is a diesel hauled day charter train to Llandudno from Stevenage, St Neots, Huntingdon and stations to Doncaster.
A fortnight later, (28th May) the Classic “Royal Scot” steam loco works a charter from Crewe to Holyhead (The Ynys Mon Express)
……and the one many are waiting for is the visit of world famous “Flying Scotsman” (60103) to North Wales on 15th June, 2016 on the “Emerald Isle Express” from London Euston – Holyhead and return.
On the bus front, it is pleasing to see the new 19 service operating on the west side of the Conwy valley from Conwy to Llanrwst via Roewen, Tynygroes and Dolgarrog (For the Surf)
